Guam’s Accredited Home Visiting Program

Project Bisita I Familia

Project Bisita I Familia is Guam’s nationally accredited home visiting program under Healthy Families America (HFA), supporting pregnant women and families with young children through voluntary, family centered services that promote child health, positive parenting, and family well being. The program continues to uphold national quality standards through its ongoing accreditation efforts and commitment to continuous improvement.

Connecting Guam’s Children to Specialized Care

For nearly 50 years, the Department of Public Health and Social Services, through the Bureau of Family Health and Nutrition Services, has helped connect Guam’s children and families to specialized medical services through longstanding outreach partnerships and programs, including pediatric orthopedic clinics in collaboration with Shriners Children’s Hawaii and support provided through the Hemophilia Program. These efforts help families access specialized care not available on island while supporting continued follow up care and improving quality of life for Guam’s youth.
