Investigation & Recoupment Section

The Investigation and Recoupment Office (IRO) conducts thorough investigations on complaints of abuse and misuse of benefits provided by the SNAP program. Abuse and misuse of program benefits may either be referred to an Administrative Disqualification Hearing (ADH) or prosecution process depending on the nature of violation and the amount involved.

IRO is entrusted with the establishment of collection and enforcement activities concerning over issued benefits.
