THE BUREAU OF SOCIAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (BOSSA)

The BOSSA administers various child welfare programs designed to protect children and strengthen families. Services provided are funded and regulated primarily by the federal government and applicable local laws. BOSSA’s mission is to provide quality protective services to children and strengthen their families.

Inside the Bureau of Social Services Administration

Child Protective Services Section

The Child Protective Services Section is made up of the Intake Unit, the Crisis Intervention Unit, the Investigation Unit and the Case Management Unit.

Home Evaluation & Placement Services Section

The Home Evaluation & Placement Services Section consists of the Adoption & Home Study Services Unit, Licensing/Certification, Child Care Facilities & Family Foster Homes Unit, and Foster Care

Family Services Section

The Family Services Section consists of the Family Preservation Unit and the Support Services Unit.

Program Management Section

The Program Management Unit is responsible for the development of policies and procedures and the monitoring and evaluation of programs, coordination of staff training and development, and fiscal operations.

Administration Services Section

The Administrative Support Unit is responsible for maintaining case and administrative files, procuring supplies and materials, personnel management and providing administration and clerical support
